Completely different than what I was taught, but it makes sense.

Default Even if it's true, how often do you get a car that already has 20 miles or more on it

when it's new? What are the odds you'll get it with 5 miles on it?!

Default The only thing I don't like about the article is he only mentions

use of Vac once. Most people that build engines will tell you the rely on the vac created in the engine to seat the rings. The positive pressure isn't the only way to get the rings to seat well. Letting your car go down a steap hill in 2nd or 3rd will create enough Vac to really get things seated the way they should be.

Other than that, I think it's a good read but I'm not using that article as my baseline.

Default he does say that sharp deaccelaration is as key as hard acceleration...
