Just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who has ever posted about oil. I think I read every single post (including some from a real d!ck, whats wrong with that guy?!) last night. I returned to VA from NY this weekend and as soon as I got off the Bay bridge/tunnel my low oil warning came up. I didnt want to scream like a little school girl, I have an image to maintain. But I surely was freaking the hell out. I pulled over and looked at the owners manual and decided to go ahead and drive the other 10 miles home. I just got around to messing with the car again today (it's just my road dog, not my daily) after reading the forum half the night. I hooked up my brand new VAG-COM to check things out and had no clue what I was looking at. SO I went to Advance Auto, bout some Mobil 1 0-w40, and dumped a quart in there. No more light, and drove it all day today just for giggles. Advance Auto had 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and a Mobil one oil filter for 32.99. I figured I could use the filter for my Passat wagon, seemed like a good deal to me. Now I'm off to see if I can figure out the VAG-COM.....
