Oh my God!!!! Thanks for the clarification guys! I almost died when I heard there was no jack; I absolutely cannot drive without one. I'll make sure it's there before I buy it. And I'll take a better look at the MMI too.

I have a 160 GB iPod plugged into my system and love controlling it from Audi's interface. It's also nice that when the phone rings, it mutes the audio and resumes the song where it left off as soon as I am done.

Just to clarify -- if you buy absolutely base A4 (no options or packages), you will get Aux jack in armrest.

I tried it and discovered that it was very weak. I have a charger for iPod that has amplified headset output -- that worked much better.

But I don't use it because I do not like keeping iPod in the car anyway. I find the SD card is much better.

I have to say that it is my "2013" A4, the facelifted B8, that has the jack under the armrest, and it does not have the MMI hookup for the iPhone. Wish it did, but the package I was otherwise offered and at the price, did not allow that inclusion. I've since purchased a sendstation connector to pull Line Out + USB for charging of the iPhone, instead of using the headphone out - which is not impedance matched with the Aux Line In. My old iPod headphone amp was ruined by that before.

Perhaps the configs are different in Europe to elsewhere in the world when it comes to the Jack being present...

Needless to say, though, the car is amazing, sport chassis and quattro and the 2.0 TDI 177 BHP (yes, it's a diesel, I'm in Europe

- it sure pulls it's weight!

The torque is where the fun is. Some people underestimate how much the fun factor is when you have a ton of torque. Just drive any 4 cylinder that has 100 lbs of less torque than your car and it will make you appreciate the Audi much more. It amazes me how much pull my B8 has when the RPM is just right. I sometimes feel like I am driving a car with a V8 but without all of that loud noise that comes with the power.

just to add my 2 cents. Get the audi bluetooth stream add-on to make everything work seamlessly. The whole package includes the bluetooth adapter, usb pigtail and an AMI update. Thing works great and sound sgreat.
