Nope. There's a capped dipstick tube at the left front of the block........so you have to buy the dipstick from ECS. At least it's not completely sealed like BMW.

Hopefully it just wasn't full when you were given the car. If it was full, you're looking to use up to 3 quarts or more by 5K mile service. DrGP posted in other threads what Audi considers to be 'excessive'. Was it 1 quart per 1,200 miles? Sounds like a lot to me.

Congrats on your purchase sendmeone! There are some good threads on this forum and at audizine for reference on what you can do with the cable. Post away with questions too.

That amount of oil in such a short period of time seems rather excessive. I check my oil each and every time I fill up my car. I go only to full serve stations. For some reason you can only get an accurate reading when you open your hood. If you don't believe me try it for yourself. For this reason I don't trust the computer reading so I have the dipstick for piece of mind. Your dealer adding a quart of oil must make you sleep better. I'd be pissed if mine was using that much oil. I suggest you keep a close eye on this and check your oil more often. My tires get checked weekly as well. My dad taught me well. Anyway, good luck with your car.
