Default Click when I push the brakes(just replace rf axel)

So I replaced a half shaft because of a ripped boot, now when i apply the brakes gently from a low speed there are several clicks/clunks that can be felt at the brake pedal. Cant be herd from outside the car and doesn't happen when brake is applied rapidly or coming from the freeway. Braking also doesn't seem effected.

-ABS sensor was damaged and replaced. Axel has been in for a few days and was operating normally with no noise or prior to sensor installation.
Nothing looks broke bent or leaking and the wheel has no play.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

ABS sensor issue or the new joint is dirty. Start by pushing the sensor in further.

Thank you for your input, I'll make sure to seat the sensor in further. The original sensor was damaged by the tone ring after the installation of the new axel from what looked like being seated in too far so i was apprehensive about pushing it down all the way. What do you mean by the new joint is dirty?

I had this happening on my A6 when my wheels were very far out of alignment. I would come to a firm stop and the brakes would sort of thump. Hard stops didn't cause it, and slow stops didn't. Moderately firm stops did it almost everytime.

I never got a chance to look into it - but noticed my tires were getting ruined and bought two new tires and had the entire car aligned. No more thump....maybe that's the issue?

The Axel is a figure skating jump with a forward take-off. It is named after the Norwegian skater Axel Paulsen, who first performed the jump in 1882.

It's an AXLE.
