Default 2007 S6 - Oil Filter Location????

This weekend I changed oil on my 2007 S6. Everything went smoothly except that I can't find where the oil filter is located.

Every search brought up either the R8 or Touareg V10 which both have the oil filter located on top of the engine.

I did find what possibly may be the oil filter dome on the back of the engine under the black plastic cover with the Audi rings, but it's obstructed on top by bunch of vacuum and coolant hoses. Anybody knows where the filter is located and confirm if that's the location? Thanks.

It is indeed located at the top of the engine towards the windshield and is a bit of a PITA to get to.

Thanks guys.

Last question. Can I take that dome off without draining the oil? If I can, then how much oil will leak out?
