Default key question

One of the keys for my 2002 A4 causes the temperature to display in Fahrenheit and the other in Celsius. Can I change these or does the dealer have to do it?

I cannot help you, but that's pretty awesome. I guess it's in case your wife is a Canadian or something.

Two comments:

1) There is a way to change it without going to the dealer. It is detailed in the manual which I don't have handy. I know this becuase...
2) When I was having issues with the harness in the door, I one time had mine switch on me. I switched it back using the procedure in the manual and ultimately fixed my harness. I assume it was due to the short.

Suggest you change it to US with the "metric" key installed in the ignition (or vice versa) and see if that fixes it.

Found it in the manual. Someone changed the AC temp to C° with the second key in. That causes the outside temp to display in C° as well. To change it back hold down the recirculate button on the AC and press the plus temp button on the driver side temp control. And voila, you're back in Kansas.

I had no idea the HVAC units of measurement would be linked to a specific key. Very interesting...
