Default Both radiator fans inop... please help!!!

I'm sorry if this is a previously addressed issue but I couldn't find anything on it.

Both of my radiator fans quit working a few days ago and now my 02 1.8t A4 Avant is overheating when at idol or after I stop driving. My AC is also not working when at idol. At highway speeds I'm good to go... cold AC and my coolant temp is below the halfway mark but as soon as I get stuck in traffic its all over with.

I checked the fuse but it is good and have read about the fan control module but everything I read said that one fan should still work and that it should throw a code which I don't have.

Does anyone have any advice? I would hate to drop a couple hundred dollars on that module if that's not the problem.
