Oli, I think most will want you to quantify the damage on the wheels. Do you have a foto or two?
What tire pressure are you currently running? |

You are right, I probably should have taken some photos but I'm still debating what to do. I will have to take some close up photos and post them.
I run 36 psi all around, so I don't think I could go lower with pressure .

Understood.
The wheels do look like they were made for the car...very nice! You might try something like 34F/32R on the tire pressure. I don't know what the roads are like where you drive, but the roads in my area are horrid and my wife's 2006 Avant has a very firm ride over rough surfaces, it's almost bordering on harsh with the 17" OE Conti (XL) tire fitted at the dealer. Even with the 16" snow tire pkg, the ride is still very firm. It would be a major disappointment to go out and get another pkg for your car, 18" for example, and not find any marked improvement. |

Do you thing it is possible to damage them with lower pressure? this is the reason I am thinking of going to 18s. In that case maybe I could afford to go with lower pressure... Thoughts
