Default Import contacts from Phone / Bluetooth

Seems like I'm technically challenged here. Appreciate any help you can give...

Wanted to import my contacts on my Android Phone. Phone already paired with the car. When i go into Tel>Directory>Memory and click on Import phonebook (cant remember exact text) it spends 5 minutes thinking, shows that its reading 1000 contacts from my phone and then does nothing (does not import) and goes back to the option screen.

What am i doing wrong? How do i get my contacts imported via bluetooth? Also is there any way to individually select the contacts to import?

common problem? may I guess you have an HTC phone? Incredible 2 perhaps? Same issues here. no go. One suggestion, unpair the phone and car and redo. This time have your phone in front of you looking at the active screen. You will get a message granting permission for the car to access your contacts. you must check the box always give permission.

solution is a software upgrade. I gave up, came up with a great solution.

I went into outlook, and trimmed down all my contacts. Then I found the 20 -30 people that I speak with monthly and exported their cards onto an SD card, which I plugged into car and downloaded in the perfect format

Or you can do over internet with you myaudi account (audi connect)
