Default Possible fixer upper or money pit.

Lads as I have mentioned I am looking at two allroads at the minute but today a mate told me about this one that's going for a lot less the market price and I recon I can get it down further but I saw the other night a thread with a car bottomed out in the same way to this one and someone mentioned what the problem could be so I know with out looking at the car and investigating further I won't know the problems for sure but from experiance what could the problem be. The owner says that there are no lights on the settings switch and the suspension just stopped working after been layed up for a while.

Would it be worth buying and repairing or am i looking at alot of work and possibly a money pit.

North America peeps will have no info on the TDI engine, since it never came here. The suspension issue will have to be sorted though. Will require VAGCOM to get faults and sort through MVB data to find out whats going on with it. Could simply be a dead compressor, but will also probably have some leaks in the front or rear bags, but that will have to be checked to make sure. Could also be level sensor, but like I said, this is best checked with VAGCOM before throwing parts at the car.

Rang yesterday to arrange a viewing but it sold so back to the original car. Rang the seller of the 04 and have negotiated a good price. Collect it in two weeks all going well. Thanks for the reply and advice.
