S4 makes no sense in Metro NY. Plenty of power for practical use and the 8-speed Tip is big + over my 2009 A4 6-speed.

At $4.50 a gallon I don't floor it.
I'm in "Metro NY" (Bergen County NJ) and I love my S4. Why would you say it makes no sense?

To me it makes no sense. To you it may. Gas is much cheaper in NJ than NY. You have more open roads and I see strong speed enforcement in Westchester. Of course there are drivers who go 90 on the West Side Hwy in Manhattan. But they drive M Bimmers and not new ones.

I'm glad to inform that I changed my order to a S4 P+ this weekend...
- S4 quattro S-tronic
- Ice silver + black interior
- MMI navigation
- B&O sound system
- Advanced key
- Audi connect

They don't have the prices yet and ETA for my car is between 10-12 weeks
The good news is that there are already some 2013 A4 arriving in the US. According to the dealer, they are at Houston port.

Did you get a test ride in Fabio?? What finally changed your mind? Congrats on your order change. Post pics when it comes in!

Yep! I tested last saturday and felt the difference in less than a second when I hit the gas pedal... wow! huge difference!!!

The A4 wasn't that different comparing to my Jetta today... Not that they can be compared but the 2.5 5-cyn 170hp on the Jetta is pretty decent, specially when driving in S-mode

19 mpg is not that great but considering that I'll have approx. $3200 discount in the supplier program I believe it's worth it!!

Is there a way to follow up the order with the commission number?

Wise choice and congrats. But, and I don't want to rain on your parade, if you can still change your order DEFINITELY add the sport diff option. It is the most important thing to get on the S4.

I bought used and don't know how to check on status Fabio. I don't have the sports differential and love my car, but I am curious what it would be like WITH the sports diff. The upgrade from my VW was big also and I'm still grinning though. If you didn't order the sports diff, and you have a little more money, you may want to consider it.

I know there is a difference and I was also learning more about the sports diff online... some good videos on youtube about it...
I was also thinking about the 19" wheels and both will cost me almost $ 2,000
Just have to be careful, like... ok what is 2,000 for someone who is spending 52,000 in a car?? or whoever spends 52k can spend 54k, right??

I'd love to add all the options just like the S4 prestige fully loaded for 63K I drove last weekend but that's is just too much for me
So this is just the money I'll have to save for the insurance....
