Default Headlight damage

So a few months ago my DRL bulbs went out on my 08 4.2. No problem, I followed instructions and I replaced them. I just got the warning light on my dash telling me it is out again. I go to replace them again and I realize that the passenger has some damage. The bulb was loose when I pulled it out and when I looked into the headlight I notice that some of the hole is melted. I replaced the light regardless and put everything back and it still gives me the warning with no light.

What do I have to do next? Replace the whole housing? Just the wires that connect the DRL lights?
No one can see the melted parts unless they are really close so I just need the light to work. Any help would be great.
