Default Bought my first Audi... but want new wheels. Help this newbie, please??

Hello all...
I purchased a 2009 A4 Premium Plus today with 10 spoke wheels, which I do not love. I believe they are 17 X 8. I would like to find a new set of wheels and would like to know where you experts feel I should look?

I appreciate any opinions and input you you can offer. Thank you!

Hartmann wheels are great. Tire Rack has some great ones like BBS but be sure you get some wheels that are forged or they will not be as strong.

you might want to keep the 17s for winter tires and use this as a chance to upgrade to 18s or 19's

Thank you, Reggie. At this time the budget only allows me to upgrade the 17" wheels. The car has brand new 17" tires.

In regards to finish, do I want to look for something that is "Machined" and stay away from "Silver Painted"? I am assuming that the machined metal would be a more durable finish and the silver painted would be more prone to chip?

If the wheel does not state that it is forged, what would it be? I want to make sure I know the "lingo".

Actually a painted finish is clear coated and normally much more durable than a plain machined finish.

These days very few wheels are forged, they are typically cast from a mold.
