Default Pulled over..

Sooo I had to stay at work late yesterday (Valentine's day) and was speeding home for a dinner reservation. Got pulled over doing 60 in a 45. My current driving record has a failure to obey a highway sign (drops off my record next month) and another speeding ticket I got in 2007 which drops off in a few months. Trying to see what you guys think my chances are of getting this lowered if I do go to court. If it's unlikely I'd probably just pay the fine and suck it up for 5 years (how long it stays on your record here in VA). Any past experiences would be helpful. I'm assuming I'll probably have to take that Defensive driving course. Thanks!

You will not lose anything if you go to court. Likely DA will offer a plea to party fine but do not get points.so your insurance will not know about it. if he does not offer a deal and the officer is there -reschedule the hearings. If officer is not there-you won.

Default You could also try...

Asking the officer to produce the maintenance and calibration records for the equipment he/she used, including the calibration for that shift... 9/10 most cops don't record properly the calibration of the equipment, which invalidates the results. Check your local laws...good luck.

You can do that. It may or may not work, depends on the judge. Your best chance is to get a lawyer.
