OK. Looks like my problem is the switch which is located on the top of the windshield on the driver's side. When you latch the roof shut the catch on the roof pushes the switch and turns off the dummy light. My switch is either bent or worn so that it is no longer pushed by the catch.
For now I put a piece of aluminum foil on the switch. But I think I might try to reposition it using a small screwdriver. Anyone else ever have this problem? |

I had the same problem. The issue is the switch on the drivers side, where the roof catches. You can try bending the switch with a screwdriver. However, this is what i did. I had one of these new hooks that attaches to a wall or door. It comes with a thick pad with adhesive on one end. I cut this pad to size and attached it to the switch with adhesive. It made the switch thicker, and thus activated when the roof was latched. Problem solved. |

enough thickness to shut off the light.
look on the drivers side area on the windshield frame, you will see a switch. just put a piece or 2 or 3 of tape on the switch
