Decarbonization of q7 3.0 TSFI

I have a 2011 q7 Sport engine service light has come on starting at 6000km have had trouble from the get go and have been in every three months. Now error code states to decorbanize the combustion chamber this requires a complete removal of the engine to perform service. Does anyone have any thoughts about this problem. I now have 24,000 km and do not like this procedure. What wil be done if this does nor work?

The only way to do this is to take the heads off and clean the valves. It's an expensive procedure (relatively speaking), but should be covered by warranty in your case.

Unfortuanly, it's a huge problem on just about all Audi engines that use direct injection (FSI). It can build up again in as little as 10,000 kms.

Fairly routine, actually. If you want more information, google "RS4 engine carbon".
