Best bet might have been to not waste the cash on coolant and toss in a bottle of prestone citric cleaner with some distilled and run that for a week to clean up the debris.
I also heard CLR works good since it dissolves calcium. Fresh coolant will have a fresh package, the alkaline is probably helping to clean it up too.

I am wasting a lot of coolant here! I'm still overheating. It turns out that both fans arent turning on. I posted a new topic about the fans up top.

I'll give the citric or CLR a try. When I'm ready to flush the whole system, which is the best method?
