2008 A3 2.0T questions

Hi there, if anyone can help me out it is much appreciated.
I was wondering if anyone with an engine like mine (6-speed automatic/dsg) has had problems with jerky acceleration and the fuel pump.

Any recommendations? I found a great mechanic but I would like to know what things I can do on my own or at least know what to ask for etc.

The manual says to replace the fuel pump at 65k so I have the parts just need some tips on install.
I also have lag in acceleration and downshifting is not smooth either, could it be a computer issue? I have the computer malfunction light on, scanned it and it says to update a part ($350 installed). Will that solve it?

Which engine do you have? What's the engine code?

The original BPY engine has a fuel pump/cam follower problem that Audi issued a warranty extension to cover repair of the problem.

My engine code is CBFA according to the dealer and CCTA when scanned. Either way it is not the BPY engine.

I am going to be replacing the thermostat/water pump this weekend because it is apparently cracked.
Any tips on install?
