Valve cover leak

Changed the valve cover gaskets because I had a small leak on one side. Now seems like it became worse after changing the gaskets.

Question, is it okay to use gasket sealer when putting the gasket in place. It seemed to me when I was installing the gasket, it fit loose on the head or mating surface so I decided to apply a small amount of sealant.

Or, should I just use sealant on the valve cover side only.

Do you think I can reuse the same gasket if I'm careful in removing it? It's only been on for about 30 miles or so.

its probably the chain tensioners leaking. But Make sure when you install the valve covers, that the ends didnt get pinched or not in place, its easy to do. And You must put a dab of silicone at all the corners, and in the valley where the rubber V goes. If you didnt, it will leak. DO NOT use silicone on the flat surfaces! They dont just leak, so if you pinched one of the ends of the gasket, its junk, get a new one.
