What would be a good car to bring to Russia?

seems that I will spend periods of time in Russia (Moscow and around the city).
I though it would make sense to by a car in US and ship it to Russia because shipping costs would offset the custom taxes, etc.

so the question is, what car would be good for Russia. I guess it will need to have high suspension to go over potholes and preferably AWD. For sure I will need steel rims and winter tires. And the car should be easy to fix.

Audi sounds a bit too complicated to fix. Plus what is a point to re-import European car back to Europe.

So what can it be besides Toyota truck (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnWKz7Cthkk) Subaru outback? Police speck Dodge Charger (preferably with light bar

)? any other creative ideas?

I'd think the best car would be something they can work on there. You should find a forum w/ eastrn European members and ask there.
