Audi Drive Select & VAG-COM

I've got a 2012 Q5 2.0T S-Line without NAV. In Canada, we get Audi Drive Select as part of our S-Line package. I'd like to have something similar to the "Individual" setting for ADS that you get with NAV/MMI cars. Unfortunately, I have is "Comfort", "Auto" and "Dynamic". I like the feel of Dynamic, but don't always want the gas guzzling dynamic transmission settings. Is it possible to adjust the Auto setting with VAG-COM so that it defaults to the settings that I'm looking for? Thanks!

You want to adjust the settings within the Auto mode using Vagcom? I have read up on a bunch of Vagcom type adjustments for the B8s but I don't recall coming across a way to do this. It sounded like you could trick a car without Drive Select into being in Dynamic mode or something like that, but I never tried that. I don't think you can adjust the three settings to your specs, at least on B8. Maybe others can chime in, or try searching more in Audiworld forums and also Audizine for Vagcom adjustments and specific forums for your model.

You can make changes in VCDS to enable Drive Select Individual for cars with MMI 3G only. In your case you can set both steering and engine/gearbox individually to to Auto, Comfort or Dynamic modes but then you cannot change this setting without again plugging in your VCDS to make the adjustment.

I'm pretty sure its not the same ADS as the S model cars but you can default it to Individual and customize your options per key. This way the settings are just the way you like them when you get into the car.

I've used the below method to set my ADS to individual

Set ADS to specific preset Comfort, Auto, Dynamic or Individual
[09 – Cent. Elect.][Security Access - 16]
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 63
Set to 01 - Comfort, 02 - Auto, 03 - Dynamic or 04 - Individual
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 64
Set to 01 - Comfort, 02 - Auto, 03 - Dynamic or 04 - Individual
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 65
Set to 01 - Comfort, 02 - Auto, 03 - Dynamic or 04 - Individual
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 66
Set to 01 - Comfort, 02 - Auto, 03 - Dynamic or 04 - Individual
*Note all four channels needs to be set to the same value.
