The Pentosin 11S hydraulic fluid is a good fluid to use. It was not original from the factory in '92, but hopefully has been changed a few times and upgraded to 11S since there is no filter in the system other than the screen in the reservoir and a couple of small screens in the banjo fittings. It is beyond comprehension that Audi did not include a filter in the return line similar to the Magnefine in-line filters and a fluid change recommendation in the maintenance schedule. If the fluid is dirty, changing it soon is a good plan.

Thanks for the replies two problems down (Trunk open added power steering fluid no more whine) now for my next issue. Not sure if I should start a new Thread? Climate Control is dead no display and the fan does not work checked the fuses they looked good. Where do I start?
