Default Audi B6 fuel level sensors 1 & 2: Which is which?

Hi All,

My VAG-COM has diagnosed my fuel gauge problem in that it will not read above 3/4 tank after I fill up. It shows Sensor 1 reading 247 Ohm and Sensor 2 reading 67 Ohm. Obviously Sensor 1 is bad (~250 Ohm is an empty tank reading).

My question is, on my USA model B6 (2004 A4Q sedan 1.8T), which is fuel level sensor 1? Is it the LHS stand-alone sensor, or is it the RHS sensor integrated with the fuel pump?

Thanks,
Richard in State College, PA
