Where are you located? For North America, the B7 model (2005.5-2008) 2.0T motor has a timing belt, with a recommended change interval of 110,000 mi / 175,000 km
The B8 models (2009->) with the 2.0T motor have the timing chain.

Just dropped my A4 off for the 75K service and asked about the Timing Belt replacement. I was told by two service writers that my car will not need the timing belt until 110K, which matches what you posted. However, the book (which I have stamped with every service) calls for a replacement of the timing belt on several engines, including the 2.0 TFSI which is what my car has, during this service. They continued to indicate that the 2.0 does not get a belt change at 75K. One of the service writers tried telling me that my car is not an FSI! So, is it 110K or 75K? The book calls for 75K but obviously the 110K number has some truth to it with you and the other service writer.... Just wondering if I should call them and keep pestering them. The car is a 2006 A4 2.0TFSI S-Line that we bought new. Everything has been done per the factory service guidelines and the book is up to date. Would hate to skip the T-belt based on unknown info! Thoughts? Thanks!

well 1.8T cars have had a timing belt interval of 105k and I have seen them consitently leak water pumps, break the impeller or break the belt and bend all the valves right around 80k. I would not wait till the milage interval. i would do it around 80-90k... it was already said, 2009+ chain. rest are belt

Just had timing belt replaced at almost 79k and water pump. I took the car in with check engine light on. Check engine light was for 3 possible codes. Throttle body which they replaced, engine was idling funny while still. Other 2 codes given are for intake manifold and motor, pvc. Audi just mailed out the extended warranty on these fixes to 10 years 120k When leaving repair shop just now, check engine light was still on. He ran the fault codes and it is for the problems that Audi is covering now.
I read on another post 6 years or 110k for timing belt. My A4 is just over 6 years and noting but problems since ownership at 38k miles. This is my 2nd Audi and will be my last.

Thanks Jeff. I was able to get the revised service list from the dealer showing the 110K change. When you say "register with Audi" what do you mean exactly? Have bought two A4s new but have not registered....or at least I don't remember being registered for anything. Thanks! Dan
