Default Audi Cabriolet solenoid Seattle

I brought my 2004 V6 Automatic for 75000 tune up to a shop in Seattle. My engine light came on once they did the work. I did not go back. I went to dealer..they did diagnostics, and I need a new solenoid in one of the banks and down the line a catalytic converter. They said I should not drive it until the solenoid is repaired. I just spent 1900 on this tune up very upset. Their quote was 1500 for the solenoid> should I go somewhere else and do you think that shop did something to make further work happen on my car. It has almost 78000 miles and I have not had problems before.Does anyone know a cheaper repair shop with good reviews in Seattle or the Bellevue as well..

To own an Audi, you must get a OBDII cable and VAG-COM, it's much cheaper than taking your car to the dealer every time the check engine light comes on. Anything can cause the check engine light to come on. If it's running fine, just reset it.

I got a cabriolet 04 V6 last year, and it has 81k miles now. It's still great but it does have some intermittent electrical problems but nothing major.

Get the codes and people will help you. The shops are there to make money, sometimes, you don't need anything, just reset the computer.

The worst thing is to bring a car that's running fine to pay for people to mess it up.

Ask someone up here to see if he/she has a vag-com in your area to help you get the codes.

Cheers,

Louis
