To own an Audi, you must get a OBDII cable and VAG-COM, it's much cheaper than taking your car to the dealer every time the check engine light comes on. Anything can cause the check engine light to come on. If it's running fine, just reset it.
http://www.dognmonkey.com/audi/category/vag-com I got a cabriolet 04 V6 last year, and it has 81k miles now. It's still great but it does have some intermittent electrical problems but nothing major. Get the codes and people will help you. The shops are there to make money, sometimes, you don't need anything, just reset the computer. The worst thing is to bring a car that's running fine to pay for people to mess it up. Ask someone up here to see if he/she has a vag-com in your area to help you get the codes. Cheers, Louis
