Default Can MMi function with both Bluetooth and inserted Sim Card simultaneously?

Hi all, I'm not sure what version of MMi I have but it's in the A7 with the touchpad?

Is the system capable in supporting a bluetooth mobile phone for calls including a seperate sim inserted into the dash as the data connection.

Reason for this is that I can't seem to get my BB9000 to send/receive data but when I insert a duplicated simcard (which I use in my iPad) it works and I get the 3G icon.

I would ideally like the situation whereby the phone is used for both phone calls and data but in a workaround, the bb to send/receive calls and the sim to send/receive data i.e. for Google Maps, news etc.

help would be very much appreciated!

cheers!
