2008/2009 US RNS-E DVD disables TV input

Not important for many but for some it may screw things up badly. It looks like the new 2008/2009 DVD for North America disables the TV input feature used by many for DVD players, rearview cameras or more. After the upgrade to sw 0260 the TV option is no longer available. If you are using this feature, better stay away from updating... Details

I do not need the TV tuner option - does anyone know where I can get the latest firmware? I am currently using 0200

Bump. I am interested as well. My RNS-E's calculation speed seems qutie slow even compares to the DVD NAV in my MIL's 01 740 (we retrofitted the NAV DVD).

ouch, that sucks! the tv input feature may be used but in the long run the tv option will become useless.

You need to DOWNgrade if you want to install a TV tuner and rear camera.

US SW 0260 disables ALL forms of video input, so you will need to downgrade to US SW 0200. Probably best done by creating a modified 0200 update CD that pretends that 0200 is actually 0270 - then you can continue using your 0260 maps.

So I've heard that you need to modify the 0200, but does anybody know HOW to do this? I've also heard that audiforum.us has the info but I can't find it on there either...
