I switched from Progressive to Geico. They usually have the best overall rates and customer service...their website is easy to use and the claims process is easy. Only complaint I have is that they do not tow on the weekends if u ever end up in an accident.

Geico is by far the best in NYC. Very pleased with customer service also.

Try Amica (amica.com) as well. I've been with them for several years - they are tried and tested (I totaled my 10 days old BMW - they paid up) and have decent rates as well. oh, and they also won JD Powers award etc.

I switched from Progressive to Geico a bit ago only haven't needed to make a claim on either. Switching to Geico lowered my payment by $45 a month to $95. Recently got a mailer from State Farm that wanted to charge me almost double what I'm paying now. No thanks.
