Default what do you guys think: steering issues and noises

3 months ago, auxiliary coolant pump switched on and drained my coolant reservoir. When it happened, the power steering started whining. The whine went away for 3 months. A week ago, the whine returned and worse yet, I have no power steering at lower speeds. It'll semi-quasi work when I press the accelerator, but whines at the same time.

I've searched and found a few people who have experienced similiar things, but some were able to fix with a new pspump others needed a new rack, some got away with new hosing. There is fluid still in my reservoir and it doesnt seem to be leaking, that I can see.

What do you guys think?

thank you!

i just got my car back a few days ago from the dealership because i had the same issues. i got away with just fixing the pump and no rack. i believe it was around a grand for the pump and labor, not sure tho i got alot of other things fixed as well. but ya should just be the pump.

check your driver's side inner tie rod boot. if it's wet, it's the rack. otherwise the PS is right behind the large pulley on top of the engine dead center.
