Default Wheel fitment tip

There's been a number of posts about wheels that fit prior Audi models will no longer fit the B8 chassis used on the A5/S5 (and new A4).

The main issue is the B8 hub diameter is larger (67 mm) than its predecessor (57 mm) so the older wheels won't fit over the larger hub.

If the wheels have interchangeable centering rings, you may be able to obtain new rings for the new hub size, depending on the wheel manufacturer.

I've got some BBS wheels I've used on past Audis that I'm considering using on my S5 (if it ever shows up). I confirmed with BBS-USA (770-967-9848 ext 3027, Michael Cox) that new rings are available for $4 each.

Of course I will need to check for caliper clearance and offset, but the point is many existing wheels may be able to be converted to fit the B8. Just a friendly tip.

Default That is true, but you may find that the offset (usually 35 ET of past Audis) doesn't have the

same look (fitment) on our wider setup. Spacers can cure that though.
