Default Looking for suggestions for testing the efficiency of my zero clearance k04s.

I'm going to use an 83mm maf and plot iat vs maf. I think PSmalls'car should be the benchmark because there are a lot of logs out there, he uses straight K04s, has the same ICs and has an 83mm maf. I'll program in a boost curve similar to his, log a fats run and try to compare with a fats run of his taken in similar conditions.

I should be able to catch mid to upper 40deg weather all the way to maybe upper 60s tomorrow.

Does anyone have a suggestion or request that I didn't think about?

Default I run Hitachi S4 sensor. Aren't you running Bosch sensor? Also, note that my boost curves are...

documented by watching my EFU digital boost gauge so I may not be seeing the whole picture and it's very possible that it's a bit laggy to the point that I'm missing the full taper and/or spike.

If nobody buys my Apexi EBC soon, I may have Piggie install it. Not only will it improve part throttle drivability in lower gears (played around with 7-10 PSI in 2nd gear last night, pretty choppy. In higher gears, I can hold part throttle boost without a problem.), but it will serve as a more accurate boost gauge since I'll know exactly how much boost I'm making at certain RPM points.

In other words, this might be a tough comparison to make between our cars...but I'm still pretty psyched that you're doing it. TIA and I'm looking forward to the results.

P.S.-Do you have ECUx? It would be nice if you could log using Mark P's group file. Then, I'll find a log of mine in similar weather and overlay the data on those graphs if you'd like.

Default Someone posted a graph comparing hitach to bosch. Mihnea I think. They were very close.

I really just need a ballpark boost curve. Isn't it usually 22psi tapering to 20? There are going to be a lot of variables, I know. If there isn't a big jump in efficiency it'll be a wash. Z/C may shine best when boost levels are really pushed.

I've got EcuX. The last time I tried MarkP's templates I sucked, but I'll give it another shot.

Default 23 PSI tapering to 20.5 is what I've used mostly. I don't believe Bosch and Hitachi read similarly

at least on HB, but then again it could just be how people have their intake/MAF transition.
