I have an "European edition" Audi A6, 2.5 TDI -02.
I would like to turn off/disable the telematics system, as it is only usable in Germany (where I am not). It keeps displaying some text (Welcome to Audi telematics... etc) at every start, and you have to OK those before getting into the drive computer screen.
Another annoying thing is the integrated Nokia phone system. It's emergency battery has run low, and the system keeps reminding about that more than often (Limited talk time for SOS... pls contact your Audi dealer). I never use that phone anyway.
Un-plugging the cords does not help.
So questions are:
How to disable the telematics system?
How to disable the integrated phone (or at least: where is the emergency battery located)?
I have access to VAG-COM, but there is no place where to disable those "German-spesific" features...
