Default First AWD sport's car?

I think there was a Capri (old german one) that had AWD, and so did Jensen (Jensen FF, with a honkin' big american V8 in it..)

Was it one of these?

Capri:
Ferguson 4WD Capri
The first complete (not a kit) "special" Capri offered in the USA was a version of the Ferguson 4WD Capri. These were conceptually similar to the earlier British prototypes, but there were several detail differences: The differentials were viscous coupled limited slip instead of clutch type; they were equipped with US-spec 2600/2800 V-6 engines; and they were left hand drive. All had automatic transmissions. The cars were sold by FF4 Automobiles, Ltd. in New York. Only about a sixteen were sold, but at least two survive. One high performance Ferguson 4WD Capri was produced with a triple carb Weslake/Cologne engine. This car was used for a time in professional rallies, driven mainly by Dr. Loyal Jodar, and it is still in existence. FF4 also planned to sell a 4WD version of the Capri II 2.8, but we do not know if any were actually sold. The projected price of a 4WD Capri II 2.8 was $7000.

Default Re: Jensen? neat... but that one is RWD...

Just to be picky... that Jensen has one grille slot in the fender, the AWD ones have two.

Sorry... guess it's like calling a CGT an urQ.

(always had a Jensen jones, but they're just not so much fun to actually drive)
