Compare Lease Payments for Used Audi Models HERE

Use the following formula to calculate a lease payment:

(Cap Cost - Residual Value) / Term = Depreciation
(Cap Cost + Residual Value) X Money Factor = Interest
Depreciation + Interest = Base Monthly Payment

Default Are these good rates?

No offense LeaseCompare.com, but I need an unbyassed opinion

I went into the tool and entered in the info:
2008 AUDI A4 4dr Sdn 2.0T quattro AT
Source We'll find this car for you.
MSRP $33,075
Credit Score ???
Miles you drive per year 12,000
Length of Lease (Term) 60 months
Down Payment $0

Purchase Price $31,216
Bank Acquisition Fee + $795
Documentation Fee + $99
Fleet Discount - $2,000
Total = $30,110

Monthly Payment $390
Down Payment + $0
Due at Signing = $390
+ tax and license fees.

So is this a decent price for a lease for this A4? I am stretching it out to 60 months. I know most lease for 36 or 48.

Thanks

Default We are about to switch over to '09 production as ....

.... we can no longer order '08s.

This will be updated on the site shortly.

AFS is offering attractive rates right now to clear out the remaining '08s.

Default Even if I plan on buying at the end?

I want to get the most car at the lowest payment possible. So leasing was an attractive alternative to purchasing. I still pay towards the car and I still pay fair market value at the end of the lease. What's the difference if I lease or buy? Besides the amount of time it takes to pay off. I don't necessarily want to trade in the car every few years.

then renewed for another 36 months then financed the thing the end of 6 years for 3 more years.

Default Honestly, you'll be much better off buying a car you can truly afford.

Audis are not the car to get if your primary concern is the most car you can buy for the lowest monthly payment possible.

You're setting yourself up for failure.

Default So in other words....

Either lease and turn it in, or finance from the beginning and take a normal amount of time to pay it off.

But if I leased and then bought outright at the end, is that any different? Or am I going to pay more overall doing a lease/purchase vs. financing and making payments over a 60 month period?

Default you certainly will. if you plan to keep the car for 4-5 yrs buy, don't lease.

lease is worth only if you gonna get new and different car as soon as your lease ends. you pay more overall but at least you drive new car every 3 yrs.

Default Re: Even if I plan on buying at the end?

the current money factor on A4's for 36 months/15K miles is .00002, which is .05% so it certainly makes sense to not finance a purchase at any rate above .05% if you lease then purchase, you are basically doing a balloon purchase with an option, you are paying a very low rate of interest, you are paying off approximately 47% of the purchase price over 3 years. and then you have the option to buy after 3 years for the remaining principal of 53%, ie the residual. and depending on your situation 3 years from now, it is always good to have options that don't really cost you anything.
