Default Posted this on another forum. So ticked off right now!!!

Wife parked the B7 near the school to help with the last day of classes. This is what she came back to:

Because, apparently, the homeowner thought that the car was blocking the driveway:

And felt the need to write on the trunk:

The cop who took the incident report didn't think that my wife did anything wrong.

After cleaning it off and using some swirl remover, there are just a few hair scratches following where they wrote on the trunk, but I'm sure it'll buff out.

My questions are:

1) Was she in the wrong for parking there?
2) What would you do???

Jeez! What is wrong with some people???

I don't feel you're in the wrong -- but check out the car parked in back of yours!!! This guy has obviously done **** like this to his neighbors once before. A little imbalanced I'd say. I would have just left a note on the windshield asking you to pull forward next time...people who live on busy streets can be whack.

Default I can actually see writing it on the glass....

Not that that was that bad of a park job at all, but if she were really blocking the drive I can totally see writing in on the glass. Cops will put big stickers on the glass that would probably be harder to get off or just tow it. But she didnt seem to really block anything that bad. It's the trunk that would really **** me off. I would never do anything that could potentially damage a paint job.

I had a neighbor that used to block my drive all the time and I got paged by the hospital one night and went from a lighted garage out to the dark driveway and backed into their car parked in my drive. It scratched and dented my car and did nothing to their beat up sh1tbox so I definitely have no tolerance for inconsiderate parkers but I also have a lot of respect for property.

My guess is the home owner had some other people park much worse before and he/she took it out on your wife. That sucks. At least the damage is limited to none. SInce there is little legal recourse and it seems both parties could have improved they way they did things I'd just resort to maybe **** bombing their front porch (use human feces too, for some reason it is so much better than dog) a few times a year and call it a day.

Default you would only be able to sue if you had real damages... probably wouldnt fly in court

clean it off and give them dirty looks from now on and be generally unneighborly the way they are to you
