Default StartupRacing Stage II Exhaust Dyno Test Results

Many have asked for exhaust dyno results. I am excited to report that the StartupRacing Stage II exhaust built for us by Vibrant for the B6 and B7 Audi A4 delivers honest horsepower and torque gains along with very pleasant sound. We are showing gains of 9 hp and 8 ft-lbs. of torque just with the exhaust. (These test were performed on a Mustang AWD dyno on a Revo chipped 2006 B7 A4 2.0TQ)

Some of this gain can be easily explained by how the stock exhaust is built. Please take a look at the crimped pipes in the stock piece.

Now let's compare them to the Vibrant pieces:

Stock exhaust is full of bottlenecks and areas for improvement. This exhaust has done that. But many exhausts can show peak 8 HP improvement, please note how the torque curve has been raised by 5 lbs. throughout the range:

Testing was done on a chipped A4 2.0T and 92 Octane gas. Please focus on the torque curve, there is no doubt that this exhaust is doing its job well. I bet that with additional tuning offered by Revo software, we could get few more horses out of this setup. (We could probably ask for a bit more boost, as the turbos will have an easier time working against the backpressure.)

But what about the sound? Gorgeous! Not loud, definitely on the conservative side but still clear that you have an aftermarket exhaust. I really do not understand why Audi did not make this part of the S-Line package. If you listen to the stock piece, it is pretty much silent. Under WOT you can hear the engine and at speed the tires, but the exhaust is not heard. This changes with the SR Stage II exhaust, but I can not see anyone being annoyed by it. And going through tunnels - what a joy!

Sound clip on the dyno can be downloaded here. (I know, hard to hear the exhaust.)

Installation - 60 to 90 minutes with a lift. I would not be surprised if many get it done in 30.

If you are interested in purchasing this exhaust, please follow the link below. They are in stock, and only limited quantities are available.

Default IMO the Vibrant exhaust looks better than...

all the other exhausts out there for the B7, well for the B6 too, but who cares about them. ;op

One question:
Why no downpipe?

Default does the tips complement the S-Line bumper trim piece.... or does the tips still look like they need

to be longer to come out more?

Default Maybe... I do not have a 3.2 to dyno, but I am willing to work with a customer.

I would pay for part of the dyno cost.

Default I have a hard time believing that, 40hp more with just downpipes? Do you have a before and after

dyno sheet?

Default Yes! It is CRAZY!

No cats though - so OEM cat to Test Pipe. I will post a write up tomorrow. But I am looking for a chipped B5 S4 to compare.
