Default Why does AT6 get better mileage than the MT6???

(mi/gal) 15/21 vs. 18/24?! Shouldn't it be the other way around? Audi's 0-60 mi/hr numbers don't appear to be that different either.

Does AT6 get gas-guzzler tax?

Is DSG6 coming to the B7 S4 and do you think it will it improve economy?

Default it's a lie....

If you drive in D, the car's in 6th gear by 40mph.
I drive mine in Tip all the time and I get about 14mpg.
Which is what most 6mt's get.

The Tips also get the GG tax now.

There will be no DSG in a Longitudaly mounted motor (all by A3 and TT) until 2008.

In the MY 2008, all new Audi's and Porsche's will get DSG and Tip will no longer be used.

So, unfortunetly, not until 2008 MY for the DSG.

I don't think it'll help gas mileage as much as FSI will.

But the DSG's will be AS fast as a 6mt as there is nominal powerloss in the Dual Clutch tranny....

Default It's definitely BS......

I saw a sticker on the B7 S4 Tip and it gets 15 and 23 MPG now. Strange that basically the same car with the same engine all of a sudden get's 3 MPG worse. Audi obviously got snaked trying to get around the GG Tax. I'm getting 17.5 MPG which I think is pretty damn good.

Default DSG6? No. That is for transverse engine layouts only.

However, models with longitudinal engine layouts (which would be from the A4/S4/RS 4 and up) will get DSG7 (which is a 7 speed DSG of course). In fact, for MY2008, DSG will replace the dinosaur tiptronic and somewhat gimmicky multitronic transmissions throughout the Audi and Porsche lineups worldwide. MT5 and AT5 are already gone from the Audi and Porsche lineups worldwide. Don't know what will happen with MT6 though.

Default AT6 gets worse mileage now, but still better than 6 speed

6th is much more of an overdrive on the AT6 than the MT6.

Default ha...I think they claim 15/21 mi/gal for the A8L 6.0 Quattro too!
