Default 2500 watts, 8ch mono 4-stereo ch two computers, dual input 22" mon, 4 12's, 2 8" , 4 3", 4 1",4 amps

I can record anything switch between 3 speaker setups. 27" tv. the 2 computers are looped through each other for recording music and video i can also assign which computer records what i want through the sound board. the monitor is one of the best made, a vx1120 TRUE FLAT screen crt(other wise known as a mitsubishi diamondtron the monitot has dual inputs and a button to switch from comp 1 and 2 i also have a video out from comp one into my tv for split screen use as well as a video out form comp 2

for amplifiers im running a older crest audio ca12 bridged to 4 ohms running around 2500 watts with 4 8 ohm 12" woofers(2 each side bridged to 4ohms per side) which runs off the master fader on the sound board with 2 homeade crossovers set at 300 hz for bottom subs in ported enclosures and 2 more homeade crossovers set for 200-500hz for the 2 other 12" subs which are On the "2nd teir" in sealed box's. I have a third set of homeade crossovers for 400hz up to 7khz for the internal mids(3") and and one more pair of homeade crossovers from 6000khz to 20 khz for highs(1") and I split the wire up to run into the center channel over my monitor with a 400hz to 20khz cross over for a fill in.

all crossovers were built by me and were tested at my school byme and my professors with osciliscopes and signal generators they all have -24db linkwitz riley slopes-(homeade circuitry) I know we used very high quality capacitors and resistors to with stand high wattage and the cross overs are probably worth about 200 each lol but in school they just gave me everything cuz the other students thought i was nuts and it wouldnt work. but i had been soldering since i was around 12(r/c cars)- rewinding motors etc
and the professors loved me for being a nut like that heehee

you can ask about the circuitry but I dont remember that stuff anymore lol I may have the schematics(this was a project I did for electronic circuit class at IAR)

top teir are jbl 6208 near field monitors which are using the internal cross over which are great powered by a crest audio ca2 at 4 ohms pushing 250watts they are controlled by the 3-4 group out on the sound board

1-2 group out are sent into either computer one, two, tape or dat or whatever someone brings over for recording of anything

computer one has pro tools, sound forge, etc all the good plug ins,1ghz p3 processor 1gig of memory 2 100 gig scsi chained hard drives and cards slaves for music recording and video with OS on a 20 gig HD ata 100 7200rpm this computer runs faster then some of my friends brand new 2ghs+ machines go figure, asus cusl2-c mother board enermax 350watt dual ball bearing ower supply, ibm memory, server tower ,dvd burner etc
pro tools audio card, sound blaster audio card gforce2gts256mb(old school)lol ch 11/12 on sound board

computer two(is behind the door) is my hog my 500mhz 512mb, tnt2 nvidia card, pretty much my music server, 20gb HD ata 66 lol with os on it and 100gb scsi slave ch 9/10 on sound board

my audiophile setup
hidden in the back of this monstrocity is a elac mirracord 6200 record player from the 70's(great sound which is hooked up to my two heath kit tube amps and I can switch my jbl monitors from the crest audio ca2 amp to the heath kits 20 watt tube amps via silver bananas( i must say the tube amps might be 20 watts each but sound like 100 watts each)

I have a oldschool technics tuner thats run into ch 13/14 of the sound board

all speaker wires are silver stranded with silver soldered, silver bananas(over the top i know)- but i had a ton) 4 gauge for woofers and mid low woofers, 8 gauge for high mids and highs

all rca's are hand made with nagomi sp? wire and ends

macki vlz 1604 sound board(awesome preamps)

sometimes my setup even confuses me when i want to do certain things but i eventually figure it out.

sorry no home theater set up, thats for my clients

heres a pic its pretty messy i been settng up a bunch of dealer accounts sorry normally cleaner been hectic lately though

Default do you really want to know?....more..

the engineering sounds great when your young, working with lots of musicians and in my case alot of famous ones. I went to school for that because i figured if i couldnt be in the band i might as well be the one behind all of it. It kind of gave me the thought of yea im not on stage but if it wasnt for me and my crew none of it would happen and it was a good thought(before school) and AFTER. but hanging out with the bands after and getting all kinds of wasted takes it toll. Sometimes when i did smaller venues we would have to rip down the entire system with a crew and pack it in a 18 wheeler and then unload it a couple hours later and get home or get to a hotel by like 7am in the monring.

all my friends worked normal hours and one day i just quit. i started working in studios but that was just plain boring... so then i got my first job with audio connection in verona, and when they saw my resume they were like OOOO a pro. they were all audiophiles and looked up to me like i was some god but the fact of the matter was they were doing things that i sort of laughed at, but once i started listening to the suttle differences in different speaker wires and interconnects(which i always knew made a difference) I started to do things the audiophiles were blown away by, especially when i told them about my home system. I left form there because not many people buy 30k towers and 40k 100watt mono tube amps and if they do they would rather install it themselves. so i pretty much became there "tuner" for clients and would set up all the speakers etc
once i left there i started working for a brand new company called saga in tenafly, I wired the whole show room for hd video, camera's and audio. started doing really crazy multi room audio with touch screens in every room. the designer thought my resume was fake and didnt believe i knew what i was doing. so after a year of him talking down to me and still fixing his ****s ups i finally left and became the head for sound city in denville. then after i hurt my back i never went back and started my own company lenardo design group

the rest is history.

all i know is the school i went to in nyc IAR(institute of audio research) taught me stuff i didnt think i would ever need. Like we had this one class where we would just listen to tone generator signals and have quizes on what frequency the tones were. I got all the answers right on the quizes but was like what the hell is this for?? then when i was working I heard FEEDBACK on stage for the first time while engineering in my early days and was like holy ****, now i know why, and i would pull the frequency down on the monitor eq.

i went off on a tangent right there but the point is that i was taught so much **** about signal travel that everything i come across is second nature and sometimes i cant explain how to fix it or explain how to work it i just know.

and honestly working in HT is WAY easier then anything ive done before regardless of it being one HT room or 20 zones in a house with 3 media rooms and one HT room, its still cake..

besides, the MONEY is much better in this industry then being a pro engineer.thats the main reason why i switched and i STILL LOVE WHAT I DO!! so i made out!!
