Default Great wind noise solution...

Before I say anything, I did read and try the tech article. While it helped me a little, I was still hearing more wind noise than I wanted.

I noticed noise was reduced to almost nothing when I pulled in on the inner lip of the window frame corner. While thinking this over, I realized I need more pressure where the body and window frames met up. To do this, I simply inserted the tubing suggested in the tech article (1/4" OD clear vinyl.. 10' should cover both windows.) into the rubber window frame channel. Hello quietness!!! Honestly, it is dangerously quiet. High speeds are deceivingly hush.

Oh and a mini-disclaimer... I don't know the "long term effects", if any exist. It might get wet in there and cause mold or something... Use the information at your own risk.

Tube pulled for reference.

You can see that my "ten feet" from Home Depot for 98 cents was actually about 7 feet (someone got 3 feet for free ;p Here, I just made do with the pieces that I tried for the tech article. I'll get more later.

Default Re

One more, but it's a bad one.

If you get that tubing mentioned, you'll know where it goes. All through that channel at the edge of the window.

If you still need more, I can take them later.

Default No, all doors seem to line up great.

I was going to take a 2x4 and attempt to bend the window frame in towards the car but the tube worked great. And "taking a 2x4" to a car just doesn't sound like a good solution! ;-)

Default Update, yes, some water got in there.

I took a hose to it about half spray, half stream. I then quickly opened the door. There is some water there, but I'm still unsure of how long it will take to dry.

It might not happen under normal raining conditions because of the angle/water pressure I used.
