Default Of chrome, airbag lights and customer service <rant removed due to inaccuracy>

I returned the A8 loaner and picked up my car today.

The car was brought in for its 45k service, as well as to try and resolve the airbag light once and for all. As some may know, the 2k5 C6 suffers from a defect in the rear middle seat that fires off a code whenever someone of significant weight sits there (i.e. not a small child).

I also wanted to have them replace the chrome around the windows if possible as it was significantly cloudy and stained.

First, the airbag light was corrected via a call to Audi Technical Assist. The code registered was for Center Rear Belt Tensioner. They sent the following parts:

qty:1 Part# 4F0-857-807-D-V04 Seat Belt Igniter
qty:1 Part# 4F1-971-259 Seat Belt Igniter Piggie Harness

This took the tech 3 hrs to troubleshoot and install according to the paperwork.

Next up was the trim. As luck would have it, the Service Manager was on vacation, so my SA called the Audi Warranty line directly. The work was ok'd over the phone quickly, was told to reference a 'Jeff Bon K.' and that the claim should be a 'W2 claim'. The parts list follows:

qty:1 Part# 4F5-853-703-D-2ZZ Molding
qty:1 Part# 4F5-853-704-D-2ZZ Molding
qty:1 Part# 4F5-853-345-A-2ZZ Molding 0
qty:1 Part# 4F5-853-346-A-2ZZ Molding
qty:44 Part# N-910-197-01 Pop-Rivet 10
qty:4 Part# 8L3-837-199-B Clip 6
qty:16 Part# N-900-978-02 Pop-Rivet 14

Took 2 techs 10 hrs to do, including bodyshop work.

Although the Service Manager questioned the work being covered upon his return, it turned out as planned and AoA fully covered the repair.
Kudos to Tim and Dover Audi for the effort and work.

p.s. I don't get my way for everything though. One of the door blades I feel needs repainting, but they couldn't get that covered, so I'll get it done at the next Spring respray.

Default try giving them the info and tell them to call again.

tell them you can give them VINs of cars that have had it done, and I'll give you mine as proof.

Default I got my chrome trim replaced today

I had corrosion that looked like permanent water spots on all of the bright trim surrounding the side windows and the trunk lid. The dealer took care of it under warranty, no questions asked, and did a fine job. Thanks to Audi Connection in Cincinnati.

Considering that it has been 2 years since the post I am sure that the matter has been resolved one way or another.
