Default Any way to disable the TPMS?

I just picked up a new S4 that has the tire pressure monitoring system. My winter wheels don't have sensors, and I'd rather not spend the money and hassle with them right now.

Any way to disable the TPMS so the alarm in the DIS goes away?

thanks!

Default Maybe. Try this:

Select -> 17-Instruments -> Adaptation -> Channel 61.

Subtract 512 from whatever value you find there.

Let us know if it works..:-)

Default On C6 A6 it should be in Long Coding in the CAN Gateway, Byte 03 Bit 0

Long Coding Helper included with the version 512 of VAG-COM will make this MUCH easier than trying to twiddle the correct but "by hand".

Let us know if it works.

Chassis> 65-Tire Pressue> Disable
Original was 0232125 and changed it to 0202125

Uwe; I was able to remove the TPMS from the MMI Car setup settings (Control Head Front (HIGH) 07, Channel 001: removed 16 from 5394 to 5378) ; but could use some help on eliminating it from alarming. |CHASIS| |65| current value 0062221. Any advice would be appreciated. By the way it is for a 2008 A6.
