Default is the s4 INtake manfold metal? alum? or

plastic?

feels like metal or alum ? but some other Audi?VW's at the LA auto show felt more like plastic.

anyone know?

Default It's an all aluminum engine

this one is definitely a metal. I assume you're talking about the intake runners. I don't know if they would use a plastic because of heat, but i could be wrong.

Default actually plastic has some advantages cause it does

not hold in heat.

Default todays plastics dont melt, the e46 M3 intake is plastic and

it sees lots of heat- actually plastic has many advantages, lite-weight and does not soak up heat - and inside is smooth for better airflow.

some early plastic intakes cracked from heat but I think it has become perfected.

Default Really? The actual intake manifold is plastic on the M3? The part on top of the engine that...

distributes the air to the different cylinders? Wild and crazy stuff.
