Rev to 3K and drop clutch. :-D
I tried several different launch techniques today and I found that dropping the clutch on the upswing rev at around 3-3500 RPM will achieve an engagement around 2900-3000 RPM and MEGA acceleration. Of course, the smooth launch is also sweet, but not as quick as the above. Granted, it must be harder on the clutch. However, I had no problems with my clutch today and it's grabbing great! Just thought I'd share.

but just grab the engine at 3k instead of 1800? The point being that you are still in the process of squeezing the accelerator.
I gather you don't mean to rev the engine to 3k and hold it there, then drop the clutch. I find more and more that anything that involves holding the engine at a rev, then easing the clutch, then increasing the accelerator, always ends up messy. If I'm reading you right, yes, it sounds like it would be very fast.

you rev the engine up to around 3K, but you are constantly reving between 2500 and 3000. Then, on the upswing revs to 3000, release the clutch while squeezing the accelerator and your off!!! If you release the clutch too slowly, you will toast the clutch. You need to come 1 degree before dropping the clutch, (A quick engagement, but not a drop...) and then push the acclerator, but don't romp, and then engine will rev past 3K while engaging the clutch, but once engaged, the revs will drop down to 3K or 2900 and then soar to redline. VERY quick!
