Vegas folks... anyone interested in GTG & drive?

Since I don't live in Vegas, I could use some help in planning out this event. I should be going to Vegas middle of September for business and was thinking how about we get a group of Audi folks out for a drive on Sunday, Sept 17th

Here's what I had in mind so far, starting around North Las Vegas (Sunrise Manor), taking the 147 to the 167 passing Lake Mead, then ending up at Valley of the Fire State Park.

How does this route sound? I've never driven it, just planned it by looking at a map. Would this be a fun and spirited drive?

Also I'd really appreciate it if one or two people would assist me in find starting/stopping points along the route.

The route would require a day pass through Lake Mead Nat'l Recreation Area. It is only $5. The road from Lake Mead to Valley of Fire, is fairly nice. Some areas are rough.
