Default Tired of the rear bose speakers fuzzing out....here's the fix:

Mine started making so much noise that I finally just took them completely out. Well I had a chance to fix them this weekend and found that it's just the cone seperating from the speaker, apparently very weak factory glue holding them together. I decided that instead of wasting time having them replaced at the dealer only to eventually have the same problem, I would just fix them once and for all. A healthy dose of contact cement courtesy of one of my friends and they are as good as new.

Having no bass whatsoever for a couple months, putting the rear deck speakers sounded even better than the poor sub I had in for a short while.

Here's a pic of the glue coming apart on the speaker which causes it to sound like it's blown.

Default Where exactly did you apply the glue? Just around the edges of where yo can see it separating?

Default Yes just around the cone where it's seperating and go all the way around with the glue.
