A Midsummer Audi Night's GTG
Date: August 8th Time: 5:30PM to whenever Location: Uno's, Bear Hill Road, Waltham, MA Okay...so everyone seems to be itching for a summer GTG. Now that WaterFest, Larz Anderson, KTR, the Paris Cruise, etc. etc. etc. are behind us, let's get together for an old-fashioned GTG at Uno's in Waltham. Uno's has been a gracious host for us in the past, and they are welcoming us back for another gathering. Best of Model and Best of Show Contest Get your cars cleaned up and ready for another "Best of Model" contest like we had last time. Judging will be based on various criteria, but be assured that cleanliness is one of them! The model categories are: Best A3 Best A4 (B5, B6, B7 will all be judged together) Best S4 (B5, B6, B7 will all be judged together) Best A6/S6/RS6/allroad Best TT Best A8 Best Old School Note: Winners from the last GTG are ineligible In order for your car to qualify for judging it must be at the GTG by 6:30pm as judging will close shortly there after. Once we determine the 7 "Best of Model" cars we will have a vote (by show of hands or other method TBD) to determine the "Best of Show" winner. Prizes??? I will work with our friends at Bernardi and/or some other vendors to see if we can score some sweet prizes for our winners. Sorry, I cannot personally bankroll prizes as I have done in the past. Right now, I am soliciting volunteers for judges. Of course, the judges will be prohibited from judging the model/platform that they represent. Please e-mail me at bostondriver@gmail.com if you are interested in being a judge. Of course, those that won last time would be great judges, since they are already ineligible... Parking We'd like to keep all cars as far away from the restaurant as possible so we leave as many spaces as possible close to the restaurant for regular patrons. I know this has been said before, but...one space per car please. A6/S6/RS6/allroad: Park against the rock wall closest to Bear Hill Road. A3/TT/A8: Park against the rock wall closest to the highway. A4 (B5, B6, B7): Park in the two rows immediately across from the A6/S6/RS6/allroad group. S4 (B5, B6, B7): Park in the two rows immediately across from the A3, TT, A3 group. Old School and the non-audi attendees: Park in the row of spaces nearest and parallel to the highway. Here is the overhead shot of the parking diagram: ![]() Directions Get yourself to 128/95, and take either exit 26 or 27, then follow the maps below. From exit 27 from the North: ![]() From Exit 26 from the South: ![]() Lastly, for those that missed the huge GTG last time...Here is a link to last GTG in Waltham on 4/27 arranged by A4AdMan. As always, I'll try to keep a running list of attendees and provide weekly updates for you. Any questions, please post here or shoot me an e-mail. So, who's in??? I'm glad you're keeping these events on weeknights, as weekends are booked through October now...ugh.
