The Official AWNE Waltham GTG Wrap-Up

Thanks again to all who came. An amazing turnout somewhere in the neighborhood of 75 to 80 cars. Plus a beautiful late afternoon and early evening. No rain, except for a few sprinkles at around 9:30pm as MEEM and I were chatting in the parking lot.

Thanks also to everyone who stayed for dinner at Uno's. I spoke to one of the wait staff and they were really happy with how busy we kept them.

I'll admit that I was really nervous about the parking situation, but in the end I think everything worked out fine. I wish the parking by model could have worked out better, it did to a point, but in reality there were to many other patrons at the restaurant and at some point I was like what the hell it's every Audi for themselves.

I am glad that I was able to finally make it, although I missed the "best-of-show" contest...although it is hard to compete against perfection (nene's RS6 as usual took top honors in the class). Well, at leat I got to park next to his car!

Here are a few of the pics that I took this evening...

My late arrival...washed, clayed, waxed, etc...VVRRRROOOOM!!!

Mr. Lee, right before he took my pic standing on that fence...

...I think it was not an argument, or they made up pretty quickly...

Okay, so I found a spot...next to nene's RS6 (RSSIX, great plate!)...at least I got to compare the spoilers and exhaust...but his wheels...NICE!!!

Our matching spoilers, but my car just pales in comparison...at least I know it was mounted correctly...

Then, TeddyBGame arrived with his new Recaro seats...

..and now a word from the folks representing the North Atlantic Audi Chapter...

Thanks Dave for organizing this one! Great turnout, and I wish I could have stayed for dinner. Nice to see several familiar faces, and to meet a few new folks today. I am looking forward to our next big GTG, which is KTR in June (under the care of A4Rye). Then the Larz Anderson Museum for German Car Day. After that, maybe another Uno's run in late-July or early-August???

Hope everyone had a good time and a safe drive home!!!

i think at all previous meets my cars have been disqualified for one reason or another ;-) in this case, i showed up late (6:20), which i thought would be sufficient to disqualify me, but it seems not :-O
