Default A4 3.0 Spark plug replacement

Just changed the spark plugs as part of the service I've given the car and these plugs appear to have given the car a real 'sparkle'

Note they are Bosch Super Plus YTTRIUM - no idea, don't ask, just what was recommended.

note in this pic the difference in the base of the plugs from the old ones - I've not seen this before.

We all know - or should know! - how to change spark plugs so no Granny egg sucking lessons here but see this pic of how I've removed the Air filter assembly for greater access. Also Remove HT loom from head with two Torqx screws and remove coil packs.

For the other side (what with this being a Man's engine and having two halves ;~) )I found that in addition to the HT loom you can move the coolant bottle out of the way for improved access.

And as it says in any good Haynes manual - assembly is simple the reverse!

Time to clean the engine, mate :P All kidding aside, it's good to see DIY work done on a 3.0.

I hate it, I really hate myself because I'm mechanic blind when it comes down to car.

I really wish I could learn how to do this, but I don't know where to learn it from.

The shop want to charge 180 just for the parts and labor to replace 6 spark plugs.
