Default Just bought a 1.8 quattro, speical ed on monday, thought I (m)

give everyone a shout!
Also is there a "welcome the new member" link/thread where I can learn more about this car? (this is actually my fiancee's car)
I am itching already to learn the list of mods I may be able to do with this car -- nothing tacky or ricey. What are some common ones people do? I am looking at things that are more cosmetic, and simple mechanical ones that I can do it myself. For example, this car didn't come with xenon, so I would put that as my priority. Also where is a good source to buy Audi part/accessory -- I am also looking to buy genuine A4 rubber floor mats for the winter.

Thanks guys.

I have had a lot of fun with my 99 5 series over at the roadfly board, I am looking forward to get to know the people here!

Default places to go

clairparts.com for oem Audi products.

for xenon lights, you may want to consider ecode xenons (they are european spec xenon headlights rather than us - so they dont have the orange reflectors) be prepared to spend some money on these.

Default Thanks guys. I am going to assume that the retrofited (m)

xenons won't have the self-leving feature like the stocks? Or is that already been prewired? I am surprised there is a market for stolen xenon lights!! That's crazy. I live in the suburbs so it's pretty safe, sometime I forget to lower my garage door at night. When you said pricey, how much will I be looking at (genuine audi parts of course). When I retrofitted my 99 5 series with euro spec (clear corners) angel eyes (>2001) xenon headlights, it was just about $1,400.

Default REVO program - on sale now for $399 I guess...

That's the best mod for $$$ you can do. Makes your 1.8 way faster (additional 30-40 HP and +~40 torque)

Too bad you didn't get xenons at dealers. I think that would be cheaper (+ saving install time) than buying aftermarket...well, too late

Clear your corners - that cost you just time, no $
